Admission Requirements

  • Have a minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale or a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the last 60 semester hours of undergraduate work or a graduate GPA of at least 3.0 in at least nine hours of graduate work. This includes classes from all institutions attended. Candidates who do not meet the criteria for full admission may be considered for conditional admission.
  • Supply a copy of a teaching certificate(s) or license(s) when applicable.
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or hold a first-professional doctorate when no baccalaureate degree was offered.
  • Submit official transcripts, which can be in the form of attested credentials from a university-recognized document verification agency, of all college-level work.

Students whose native language is not English and who have not graduated from an English speaking university in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland or Canada must meet the previously listed admissions conditions, plus submit an English language test score.  Students will be either directly admitted or conditionally admitted based on their English language test score.  Visit the International Admissions website for more information.
